Eco-friendly printing is new agency’s objective

Iowa's largest privately owned printing company has formed a nonprofit agency intended to help its industry focus better on a single color - green. Carbon Neutral Print Productions, or CNPP, was formed this month out of an office park in West Des Moines with a goal of pointing commercial printing companies toward "a more eco-friendly approach to creating print media."

Rock Communications/Colorfx is pleased to announce the addition of an M600 six color, heat-set, full web press. According to Jon Troen, President and CEO, "the addition of the M600 will allow us to improve our level of quality and service to our customers to allow us to grow with them." The M600 has the capability to run at 50,000 impressions per hour and has fully automated plate changing and blanket washing features. "This press will add to our already robust web capability, and allow us to be a more efficient print operation," added Troen. "That can only be good news for our customers as we help them succeed by offering a greater variety of print solutions." The M600 will begin installation this fall and is anticipated to begin production in early 2010. The press will be located at the companies' Newton web facility.
IKON Delivers RICOH PRO C900 Digital Color Printer
