Environmental Statement
At Colorfx, we not only recognize our responsibilities to our customers and employees, but also to the community we live in. Part of our social responsibility as a corporate entity is to ensure that we conduct our business in a way that considers the ecological impacts we have on our environment. Colorfx is committed to a philosophy which incorporates "responsible practices" to produce quality printed products.
Our Company has developed a multifaceted approach to improve our ecological footprint including using vegetable based inks, low VOC press washes, water based solvents, recycling waste papers and an air trimmer removal system. Colorfx has also partnered with certified vendors to properly dispose of waste chemicals and inks and launder press rags. Colorfx is a Carbon Neutral Print Productions (CNPP) approved printer, enabling customers to have their print jobs produced completely carbon neutral with the use of carbon offsets.
In 2008 our commitment to the environment became even stronger. Colorfx achieved certification by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Programmed for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC). These certifications involved a detailed accreditation process which incorporates tracking and recording the possession and transfer of wood and fiber from forest through all stages of production - primary and secondary manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing - to the end user.
For the printer, this includes all processes from purchasing through shipment of the printed product. Colorfx is proud to make this commitment to our community and our environment.
